Summary Description:
Dr. Ismael goes over how to experiment with making mini parachutes, after which students actually test them and succeed. Leonardo da Vinci said: "If a man is provided with a length of gummed linen cloth with a length of 12 yards on each side and 12 yards high, he can jump from any great height whatsoever without injury.” A simple parachute will land a small payload-but how big a canopy does it take to bring a golf ball back down to Earth? We'll be making parachutes out of large coffee filters and their 'carrying capacity."
